Moat Lane Bures Wedding Photography

Mim & Abi

This wedding at Moat Lane in Bures was one of those days that perfectly reminded me why I love photographing weddings in the first place!

Mim and Abi created a day that felt completely relaxed from start to finish – festival vibes, sparklers, brilliant food, a drag queen bringing the chaos in the best possible way, and absolutely zero pressure to make the day feel overly formal or staged.

It honestly felt more like one big celebration than a traditional wedding, which meant people relaxed, let their guard down, and fully enjoyed every moment. Those are always the weddings where the best photographs happen naturally.

To make it even more special for me personally, I reunited with my old friend Rich (Mim’s Dad) who I hadn’t seen in over 20 years, which added another emotional layer to the whole day.

This was a wedding full of personality, laughter, happy tears, questionable dance moves, and the kind of atmosphere you never really want to leave!

Best Wedding Photography of 2024 – and an apology :)

So, it’s that time again – a look back at the best wedding moments from 2024!

Before we get into it, I owe you a huge apology. It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged…there are numerous professional and personal reasons why blogging just hasn’t happened recently, and I won’t bore you with all the details now…but I thought it was time I rectified the situation once and for all.

Also, if you click on the Featured Weddings link in the main nav, you’ll see a number of weddings there from the past couple of years…there are still a few that need to be added, so keep an eye out for those as well.

My last piece of news is that I’m now based in Essex, so this website will be undergoing a major overhaul in the New Year. Once again, watch this space…

So without further ado, here are the best moments from the past 12 months. I’d like to thank all my couples for being abso-flipping-lutely amazing, and for making the past year one of the best of my career. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Also, I have to thank the usual suspects and amazing photographers who’ve helped me out and supported me this year…and I’m very happy to say that all have become wonderful friends. So I’d like to thank Sian at Sian Cook Photography, Lindsey at LNZ Photo & Film, Terry at Lily & White Photography, Matt at Black Rock Films, Rich at Carlton Films, Grae at Eyes Closed, Head First Photography and Martin at Martin Beale Photography. I love you all and I’m not entirely sure what I’ve have done this year without your expertise and support.
