Hi, I’m Dan. Nice to meet you!
I’m a wedding photographer based in Essex, and I’ve been photographing weddings since 2013.
My approach is simple: keep things relaxed, let the day unfold naturally, and photograph the real moments as they happen. No awkward posing marathons. No turning your wedding into a photoshoot.
I’ll guide you when needed, disappear into the background when it matters (I like to think of myself as a professional lurker), and document everything from the big emotional moments to the small in-between ones you didn’t even realise were happening.
When I’m not photographing weddings you’ll usually find me playing guitar, out running or at bootcamp… or eating cake (preferably cake).
And yes – couples have genuinely baked cakes for our planning meetings before. I consider this an excellent tradition and long may it continue!

My job is to capture all of that without turning the day into a production.
From our first conversation, I take the time to understand what matters most to you – the atmosphere you want, the people closest to you, and the moments you’ll want to remember years from now.
On the day itself, things stay relaxed. I’ll guide you when needed, but most of the time I’m simply observing and capturing what’s happening naturally.
No awkward posing marathons. No forced smiles.
Most couples tell me they quickly forget the camera is even there – and that’s when the best photographs happen.
After the wedding, your images are carefully edited to keep them natural, timeless and true to the day.
Because the best photographs don’t feel staged.
They feel real.
On our wedding day we hardly knew Dan was there as he was capturing all the natural and special moments perfectly – he made us feel very at ease!
