Hi, I’m Dan. Nice to meet you!
I’m an Essex wedding photographer and I’ve been photographing weddings since 2013.
My approach is pretty simple: keep things relaxed, let the day happen naturally, and capture the real moments as they unfold. None of this posing malarkey. No turning your wedding into an eight-hour photoshoot. I mean, who wants that?
I’ll give you guidance when you need it, disappear into the background when you don’t (I consider myself a Professional Lurker), and I’ll document everything from the big emotional moments to the tiny in-between ones you didn’t even realise were happening.
The best weddings, for me, are the ones full of personality – the loud laughs, questionable (drunken) dance moves, emotional speeches, dogs in bow ties, people crying during the vows, and mates losing their minds on the dancefloor three drinks too deep.
When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me playing guitar, out running, at bootcamp…or eating cake (ideally eating cake).
And yes – couples really have baked cakes for planning meetings before. Frankly, I think this should become official wedding industry policy.

Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot, let’s face it.
It’s hugs, nerves, happy tears, chaos, loud laughter, dodgy dance moves, slightly too much prosecco, and all the little moments you didn’t even realise were happening.
My job is to capture all of that without taking over the day (see Professional Lurker above).
Before the wedding, we’ll have a proper chat about what matters most to you — the atmosphere you want, the people you love, and the kind of moments you’ll want to look back on years from now.
On the day itself, I keep things relaxed.
I’ll step in and guide you when needed, but most of the time I’m quietly blending in (lurking?), observing what’s happening and documenting it naturally as the day unfolds.
No awkward posing marathons, no fake moments and no treating your wedding like a styled shoot.
Most couples tell me they forget the camera is even there after a while – which is always when the best photographs happen.
After the wedding, I carefully edit everything to keep the images feeling natural, honest, and true to the atmosphere of the day.
Because the best wedding photos don’t just show what your wedding looked like.
They remind you what it felt like.
On our wedding day we hardly knew Dan was there as he was capturing all the natural and special moments perfectly – he made us feel very at ease!
